Strategy & Planning For A+ Content

Options and recommendations

When strategizing the development of the A+Content pages, it is important that you understand your options.

  • Option 1: Do it yourself / Cost = Time
  • Option 2: Upwork / freelance designer / Cost = $400 to $1,500
  • Option 3: Agency (Amazon agency or creative agency) / Cost = $1,500 to 2,500

Option one will cost you time, but if you have an in-house designer, it will take about 5 hours for them to figure out the layout frame and start designing.

Choosing the second option of hiring a freelancer from Upwork or Fiverr may initially seem like a more cost-effective solution. Still, based on my experience (supporting multiple brands), those who opt for this route often pay more money in the long run.

Option three, hiring an agency, might be a better solution, but it can become an expensive experience if you don't plan accordingly. If you go with an Agency, I listed some recommendations in the following sections.

Product-specific or Brand Generic A+ content

Depending on your objective, you can save money by deciding which type of A+ content strategy you will use. You can create specific A+ content or brand-generic A+ content.

  1. Creating specific A+ content is great for one product that sells a lot. Creating unique A+ Content for 10+ products (ASINs) can become expensive.
  2. Brand generic A+ content = great for communicating a brand message to 10+ ASINs. Going the generic route will save you money and get you going.
For example, if you sell 5 to 100 different products and you're on a budget, I highly recommend creating branded Generic A+ content that you can apply to 5+ ASINs. This will save you money and time.
If you have multiple products, it's a good idea to ask your agency to create a framework for an A+ Content Page. This framework can be used to develop a hybrid A+ Content page that is generic at the bottom and product-specific at the top. Keep in mind that most agencies will charge you for a content page, but will offer a variation of the same A+ Content Page for half the price. Be sure to negotiate this with them.

Not All A+ Content Page Convert

Not all designers can design for A+ content page. When working with a Freelancer, agency, or in-house designer, it is essential to communicate three things That you want to achieve.

Percieved Value Image design that tells your story or product features with stacked banners
Creation of Customs Icons, Awards, and media mentions to build trust and to create perceived value.
